Another month
So August is gone. Four months to the end of 2009. And a very busy four months it's gonna be. And it's funny how time flies by so quickly when you have something to look forward to. And the last week of August was something I really looked forward to.
In that one week, I managed to...
1. Cook pasta again! So this time round somebody decided that Bangi was a little bit too far away for us and put us all into PNB Darby Park serviced apartments which was like 10 minutes walk from KLCC. It was probably the best accommodation the MPYO has ever had. Imagine being able to cook and have someone wash all your dishes for you the next day!
2. Play chamber music again! And I think I can safely say that no-one else has performed Paquito D'Rivera's chamber works in Malaysia before.
3.Make fun of people! (Now don't take that seriously.)
And then one day the MPO/MPYO photographer was bored so he decided to take some nice pictures of us.
And of course we never get enough sleep, so you try to catch some sleep whenever possible (well I tried to).
Oh yeah, and we did play some really good music too. This camp probably had some of the most enjoyable repertoire I've ever played. And it was difficult enough to make me freak out a month before and start preparing early.
So David the Clarinetist will be around for a while after all!
(Yes the hat, the t-shirt and the jeans are from Topman. No it wasn't free.)
(Thanks to Jebat, Lu Ee, Chris, and all the dudes with cameras, you all are great, one day I will be back with my own camera too!)
For more pictures do check out the albums on Facebook here, here, here and here.
