Brilliance

Yes, it was a frustrating first half. No goals, goaline clearances, and Shay Given pulling off a number of brilliant saves. Rooney and Ronaldo frustrated time and time again.

*Half-time*

"Hmm, 2am, should I go to bed?"

It's a good thing I didn't.

Second half - More goaline clearances, more penalty claims, more brilliant saves by Shay Given.

It didn't matter. The final score:

Manchester United 6 - 0 Newcastle United

Six goals in 45 minutes. A cheeky under-the-wall free kick and two sublime finishes after equally sublime play for Cristiano Ronaldo, the best player in the world. Step aside Kaka, step aside Messi. Two more from Tevez and a beautiful volley from, of all people, Rio Ferdinand. Throw in breathtaking passing and movement, and you have the best football team in the world.

Liverpool? Chelsea? Boring, predictable. Arsenal? All pretty passing, no end product.

Manchester United? We demolish our opponents.

Go and watch match highlights on Astro, YouTube, wherever. The football today was exceptionally brilliant.
