Yet another exam week draws to a close - we have in-class 'assessments' (good euphemism) every four weeks, with a project thrown in every now and then for good measure. Just one more paper tomorrow (Traditional Harmony, the Add Math/Bio/Moral of music college, depending on which you hate most). And apparently, my workload now is far by the lightest of the four years I'll be in ICOM. To quote my seniors, "Have fun now, later no time... Oh yeah and don't forget to practice."

I have no problems with the fun part.

Let's see, over the past 2-3 weeks...

1. I learnt to pay dota. DANGER! Sorry typo. FUN!!!!! Sigh all my friend's fault, we were at a cybercafe and one of them only knew how to play dota. Being the nice guys we musicians are, we didn't want him to be left out, so I terpaksa join them lah. I had a very interesting conversation with a friend; we were fantasizing about being professional gamers winning big money at international gaming events, and telling everyone how we got all our practice during our time in music college. Hmm...

2. I downloaded a total of seven movies, with three more on the way, just in time for my Raya break. Depending on your location (ie US and A or Timbuktu), I have either a very fast or very slow internet connection. But if you live in Malaysia, help spread the news:



3. I missed so many 9am classes, they stopped sending me Unexcused Absence emails. Thank goodness they were mostly English classes.

Hmm, practice? Of the musical type? That, I think I could count on one hand. I'm slowly starting to practice a little bit more now, with MPYO rehearsals and more inportantly, clarinet lesson with Phil coming up. Phil's the MPO principal clarinettist. Therefore, I can't fake it and tembak (like I do sometimes at Bangkok Jazz/Top Room jam sessions).

Anyway, I guess I better try sleep early tonight, so I don't fall asleep during my test. I'll need all the time I can get. Just like Add Math.

But then again, I've been repeating that to myself every night during exam week since Form 3.
